Poetry for the Melancholy

She has left
The air is cold and still
I find myself wondering if it is wrong to remain here

For my muse
I have hewn our hearts
And strewn the parts across all the places in between

Never to rest long
Away from my beloved
Whose blessed gifts will forever haunt me

A desert breeze blows in
And finds its way back out again
While salt tears are nearby and nearly dried before they fall.

Wow, I'm amazed at what you have done. You've made the poem something that belongs to the world as opposed to the blog which is just about you. Beautiful work.
